Many of the common issues and challenges people encounter with their horses are solved at this stage.

With what you already know, this course will accelerate your progress and help you overcome and sticky points with ease.

Horsemanship 2 Course ♦  October 26-30

What you accomplished in the ‘Green and Growing’ stage was what Patrick refers to as ‘kindergarten horsemanship’ – it’s barely the tip of the iceberg. The ‘Mellow Yellow’ stage is where you and your horse develop into solid working partners.
You’ll achieve communication and control without being connected to your horse by ropes. You’ll explore higher levels of possibility with your horse. Communication takes on a new level of sophistication and connection.
Your cues will become lighter as you and your horse develop in sensitivity, responsibility, and confidence. Rhythm, impulsion, balance, and suppleness will come together as key ingredients to true collection.

Prerequisites: You must have attended a Horsemanship 1 (or higher) course, or equivalent, and your horse should have been promoted (officially or unofficially) to the Mellow Yellow foundation stage to qualify for acceptance.

Beginning Cow Working ♦  August 13-14

If you or your horse are new to working cattle or needing more experience, this will be a great clinic for getting exposure and building confidence.   The primary focus is low-stress ranch-style work.   This is HORSEMANSHIP with cattle… where solid horsemanship skills allow the horse and rider to come together, controlling the cow as a unified team.  Even if you never plan to work cattle in the future, you will be developing a much more responsive and handy horse by having the opportunity to work cattle.
