Horseman’s Halter and Lead

Our hand-tied double-braid yachting rope halters are strong, soft, light and supple.  These have been designed with clear communication between you and your horse in mind.  They will last for years, and come out like brand new if you throw them in the washer for a cleaning.

Available sizes: mini/weanling, average horse (fits most, including warmbloods and smaller drafts), draft (for larger drafts)

Our leads are just over 12 feet long, which makes them ideal for most of the typical groundwork you’d be doing with your horse.  They are produced from a double-braided yachting rope, which makes them strong yet supple, and impervious to sweat and weather elements so they last for years and come out like brand new if you throw them in the washer for a cleaning.  Price: $60/set

22′ Lead / Leg Rope

Our long ropes are 22 feet long, made of the same yachting rope as our halters and 12 foot leads, and are great for teaching a horse to tie, for working with a his feet and legs, and for advancing your ground skills.  Price: $60

Progress String

There are only about a million uses for this great tool.  These are 6′ in length, made of the same great rope as our horseman’s halters, and available in all the same colors.  These are useful in so many ways: as catch ropes, as dog leashes, as replacement reins, as a shorter lead tied to your halter, added to your training flag for and extended reach during groundwork, used to tie your rain slicker behind your cantle, as a ‘posterior motivator’ for a green horse needing extra forward support… there are countless ways to use this string.  Patrick always has a couple hanging from his saddle at all times, just in case a need for one arises.  Price: $20.00

Working Snaffle Bridle

This snaffle bridle set is a great working rig.  Single ply leather that is heavy enough to last for years, but is still light enough to be comfortable for your horse to wear.  Double adjustable cheeks make it great for easily fitting just about and horse, from average ponies to light drafts (can be custom sized for larger or smaller horses if needed).  Rolled buttons make it easy to remove the bit for oiling your gear.  Uniquely styled single-ply slobber straps attach the snaffle bit (offset D-ring with copper inlays) to the mecate reins in your choice of white or black.  9′ trail reins can be substituted for the mecate if you don’t want the ‘get-down’ portion.  Headstall and slobber straps available in brown, russet, chestnut, or black.  Please indicate leather and rein color choice when ordering, as well as rein length (standard mecate or trail rein).  Contact us for special orders for larger drafts or smaller ponies and we can have your gear customized to fit.   Price: $190.00

Premium Snaffle Bridle
